Meet The Founder
Chanelle Cohen is a writer, teacher, speaker, and lover of all things that involve the English language. After attaining a Bachelors of Arts in English at the University of Maryland, she decided to use her expertise first in the classroom. She received a Masters of Education in Secondary Education- English from Vanderbilt University, then began her first teaching position at her former middle school as a seventh grade Language Arts teacher. Chanelle found her affinity for teaching English to be just as strong as her initial desire to be a full-time writer. For over fifteen years, she has served as an English teacher in all grades she is certified (fifth- twelfth grades) and at both private and public schools across the nation.
While navigating life during the Covid-19 Pandemic, she quickly realized that she no longer had the excuse of grading her student’s writing or hour+ long one-way commutes in traffic as reasons why she was not writing consistently, and began to maximize the time gained while working remotely to return to her own writing goals.
Currently, she is working on her debut publication, self ISH: Being the Curator of Your Life, which is scheduled to be available in print and as an e-book in Fall 2021.
Her passions include travelling, the arts, and collecting cool sneakers (yes, she is a proud sneakerhead). She has a deep adoration for all that is Wonder Woman and even has a permanent mark of her love for WW on her arm.

Why “WriterTwenty”?
When Chanelle was deciding on how to represent her writing persona and build her online presence, she came across a website that allowed her to create several color stories. Chanelle created a total of 24 different color schemes within a couple of hours. In her namesake’s way of naming the parfum Chanel #5, she simply selected the palette she titled “writer20” and here we are today. It is only a mere coincidence that she also created her signature color scheme in 2020.
